I am Elvira Soliman Buenviaje, one of the Daunians and currently working for the US Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan.  After High School I continued my studies at the University of the East, Manila and graduated in 1972(BSEED). I am married to Alexander Buenviaje, (now a retired USAF) he is also from Dau. We are blessed with four children, 2 sons and 2 daughters.  Two of them are currently serving the US Air Force and stationed in California.

We were stationed at Clark AB in 1972-1973 and 1977-1989. While stationed at Clark AB I decided to join the US Air Force in 1979, left Clark AB for BASIC TRAINING and came back on a joint spouse assignment to Clark AB.  I was assigned at 1961st Communications Group (1979-1983).

After my separation from the USAF, I was hired at Wurtsmith Elementary School and taught 1st and 2nd grades (DODDS).  Due to the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo our plan to retire in the Philippines was postponed.  I was so fortunate to learn from Vicky that Batch 68 exist.
